Veteran star Vic Sotto has another reason to be happy for the holidays as he bagged another addition to his already extensive roster of awards, winning Academe’s Choice for Iconic Male Endorser during the recently concluded ComGuild Awards.
Sotto, in his nearly 40 years in the business, is best known as one of the people behind the iconic noontime show Eat Bulaga, along with Tito Sotto and Joey De Leon. Known for his comedy movies like Iskul Bukol and the Enteng Kabisote franchise, he has won many accolades as an actor and is also one of the most recognizable faces in the industry for his countless endorsements.
Among his more recent endorsements is the real estate company CitiGlobal.
CitiGlobal specializes in making qualityand affordable land developments and operates on the belief of affordable leisure. Along with the unveiling of Sotto as their ambassador, they’ve also launched the Nothing but Leisure Campaign to go with their new development project Tagaytay Clifton Resort Suites.
When asked why they chose Sotto as their brand ambassador, the people behind CitiGlobal, Gary and Beth To, gave a unanimous answer.
“There is no other choice but Bossing.”
Considering this is Sotto’s first foray with real estate, when asked by the media during CitiGlobal’s press launch why he chose the brand, Sotto responded, “I like their vision as a company, particularly their advocacy to provide especially for the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs). Being with Eat Bulaga and doing the show in other countries, I’ve encountered many OFWs and heard their stories. They’re really hardworking and many of them are really good with handling money, although not many are able to invest. But with CitiGlobal they will finally have the chance.”
Sotto is currently preparing for his entry for this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), My Big Bossing. A veteran in the MMFF, Sotto’s film entry is expected to be another blockbuster hit once it opens in cinemas on Christmas Day.
