Travel to Tagaytay via CALAX and SkyWay
Travel to Tagaytay thru CALAX
The Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) serves as a new alternative route to and from Metro Manila through the CAVITEX. One of the goals of CALAX is to decongest the busy roads that lead to Tagaytay, particularly the Sta. Rosa-Tagaytay Road in Aguinaldo highway.
If you plan to travel to Tagaytay via CALAX, you can take the Silang, Cavite route or the CALAX Silang Toll – Santa Rosa – Tagaytay Road.
- From Manila, head to the Biñan exit through SLEX. From there, enter the CALAX Toll Booth Biñan and take the exit at the CALAX Silang Toll. There, you will reach the Santa Rosa – Tagaytay Road which will lead you to Tagaytay City.
- Another option to travel to Tagaytay via CALAX is through Tibig Road, a path that will take you to Munting Ilog, then to Pook street. From there, you can reach Silang, Cavite towns such as J. Rizal and the Silang-Banaybanay Road thru East Asuncion. From Silang, take the Emilio Aguinaldo Highway which will lead you to Tagaytay in no time.
Travel to Tagaytay via Skyway
If you will head to Tagaytay from the north, the Skyway is a simple and convenient route to take. One of the ways to enter the Skyway is thru Mantrade in EDSA.
Since it will be difficult to start from where you are exactly located right now, then this guide will start from the Mantrade which is in a way the entrance to the South Expressway, from EDSA. If you are coming from Manila, then you may just use Mantrade as the point of origin for your travel.
- Keep going on the flyover and down to the Magallanes commercial area.
- Enter the Skyway section which is located after the Shell Magallanes station. It may take less than 1 hour travel time from Mantrade to the Sta. Rosa toll exit.
- From the Sta. Rosa toll exit, turn right once you reach the Coca-Cola Bottlers Plant. From there, you will be taking the road that will lead you to Tagaytay.
